Final Fantasy XVI producer implies no plans for PC release, suggests purchasing a PS5 to play the game.
Naoki Yoshida, producer of Final Fantasy XVI, has addressed rumors about a PC release of the game during a recent live stream for Final Fantasy XIV.
When asked about the possibility of a PC version, Yoshida responded,
“I don’t know, people are talking about a PC version, but no one has said anything about a PC version. Why are they making it sound as if the PC version will be out in six months? Just buy a PS5, (laughs).”
This statement seems to contradict earlier announcements that the game would be released on both PC and PS5, with a six month exclusivity period for the latter.
However, there has been no official confirmation of a PC release aside from Yoshida’s comments.
Final Fantasy XVI is set to launch on June 22, 2023, exclusively for the PS5.
